(I noticed we Americans for the most part, butcher nearly everything in the English language possible. Well, most of us anyway. I try not to, because it is a pet peeve of mine, and I am rather proud of my Irish and my Scottish and Native American - Blackfoot - heritages).
I will give an example. Americans refer to the Blackfoot Indians as Blackfeet. We hate that. It is Blackfoot whether plural or singular.

Kind of amazing, really. Your profile looks better than mine and I believe you rated me higher than you did yourself.

So, I got 3 1's from the same person. Both their alter ego profiles had left a comment for me.
The third profile, the main profile, didn't have the backbone to leave a comment other than their stamp. The stamp even had a little "^.^" smiley face on it. Lol.

Also just to prove I practice what I preach, of the three profiles that rated me a 1 I rated them as follows.
I gave their empty profile a 1, their troll profile a 3 and their cowardly main profile a 7.
So I took the high road and still a certain someone proved me right in regards everything I've been saying about people’s attitudes to ratings.
I feel sorry for folk who get so upset with anything less than a 10 for their profile. Its sad that a number has such an effect on their peace of mind...
...anyway...on that note...I'd love to see what happened if Cancer decided that numbers up to 100 were valid rates...
I personally think that alot of them use it as an excuse to start shit. It makes no difference about their status, they just want a reason to be nasty to people. And yet they bitch after that fact that people downrate them..go figure.

The fact that this is coming from someone who hides these ratings behind a secondary profile which was created for the sole purpose of trolling is almost as funny as the idea of the sense of self righteousness that accompanied those punctuation and grammatical errors.
I am also wondering why I shouldn't rate something based on the assumption I won't like the result, it is almost akin to rating terrorism.
That is the worst logic... Because you don't like how someone else rates, you shouldn't rate them.
Well let's keep the wheel spinning. If you don't like how other people don't like how you rate then you shouldn't rate. Seems like it bothers them a lot more than it does other people.
You see, you rate profiles and your own profile the way you do because of who you are. I rated your profile for the same reasons... It's unique.

Why is it when I tell people I disapprove of their tit for tat rating system they think I am asking them to rate me a 10?
I just want them to rate based on content, if you think my profile/portfolio is worth less than a 10 by all means rate me anything you want.
The only thing I object to is the idea of revenge rating.
Let us say I rate your portfolio a 2 because you have only one small, blurry and under exposed photo. Later I log in to find that against all odds you felt, based on its content, my portfolio was only worth a 2 as well. I have a hard time swallowing that. Much more likely is you saw my rating and thought to yourself,
"Fuck that guy, I'm going to rate him exactly what he rated me"
There is no chance in hell you sat there and thought, well maybe he is right. I do only have one crappy little photo, maybe I should upload more work and then ask him to re-rate it, you know what, he may even give me a higher rating. And looking at his work I think he deserves a 7, nah let’s make it a 6.
That kind of thinking is miles above and beyond what 90% of the morons on this site are capable of attaining. I have complained about this multiple times I know, but it really annoys me that so basic a concept is beyond these people. It cheapens the entire idea of the rating system and as such cheapens part of the experience that was Vampire Rave.
I recall one that threatened their own members that they would be blinded if they all didn't rate a profile here a 1 . Because they got "down-rated" by a 7.
Revenge rating is ridiculous. I don't even see a reason for rating in return. Let them get things out of their system and hopefully they will move on.
It is sad to see both sides of the fence so clearly...Some of the Masters here I still feel much love and respect for in the way they carry themselves and handle their affairs. Others....heartbreaking.
I have never deleted a comment from any of my journal entries. I may have accidentally erased them, but I was able to re-post them after editing the entry (I open a second tab when editing so that I can copy and paste a comment lol).
Heh, but back bone is something a lot of people seem to lack nowadays.
I've never deleted any comments on purpose- I have inadvertantly erased comments when I changed something to the entry before realizing that would happen- but any comment is there for the duration- either they are from friends or people who are commenting in earnest, or they're form assholes. I just leave the ones from assholes, because they just make themselves look stupid doing it.
I do it all the time. Some comments (or people) I don't care for. It's my choice. You're just upset because it's something you can't control (in my opinion). ;P
It is nothing about control, it is the fact that people have the ability to white wash their views on things. Anyone that disagrees is deleted.
E.g. I could have deleted your comment instead of replying to it, but I chose to leave it as a documentation of your ideas about my post even though it conflicts with my own.
I understand your view of the matter, but disagreeing with you doesn't necessarily mean either of us are right or wrong, it just means we have different opinions on the mater.
Whether someone attempts to white wash their views on things or not it doesn't change your, or anyone elses view on the matter. People delete comments to journal entries for several different reasons and not just for the reasons that you think are correct. Some members leave comments in an attempt to create drama and for no other reason. It may have little if anything to do with the entry itself.
As for the comment ending my last post... It was intended as a joke.
I've deleted comments... Usually when someone doesn't understand the purpose of the entry or can't resist saying something that might start an argument.
Plus there are people who can just piss off and not comment in my journal.
I have seen Many as of late, It is good for us in our words in it the fact as You the reader can comment. You want others to see it and it is there for us to enjoy as well! I read and write on lindellick's Code as well. On journal entry in the bloodrush booklet vast majority of Recruitng Journal's and some thoughts on making the entry or set aside a time to read your past entries. There is much to gain from reading your journal!
That happened with me when I rated a person's profile who only had this V---V on it. Not only did I get a 1 returned, but a block and a few of their "friends" to rate me a one and block me. I thought is was probably the most retarded thing ever.
Just goes to show how smart a person can truly be when hidden by a computer screen.
